FAMILY: Today Laurie and I drove down with her sister Tamar to Philadelpia to attend the funeral of her grandfather, Harry. He was 95 years old. His service was an incredible testament that it is never too late to make a difference. In the last 10 years of his life he hosted a Chadean refugee, joined the peace movement (including attending weekly vigils and a march in Washington), learned to use a computer through weekly lessons, went on solo hiking trips, seems to have meaningfully kept up with all of his large family and maintainted an unflinching optimistic outlook on life.

CAREER: I prepped extensively for an interview for a teaching position with NY Arts, an organization that brings Midwesterns college students to New York and connects them with semester-long internships while mentoring them through the whole process.
